Post Jam Version!

This update adds a very needed mouse look camera so that you can look up above you without having to waste movements and thus life to orient yourself properly.

It also somewhat redesigns the large room to make the puzzle in it clearer. Speaking of which, the helping cat got an update to better guide confused players in that room. Without spoiling anything, the mechanic central to the puzzle in the room is now a little more attention grabbing.

Finally as a major point, the zones got decorated so that it’s no longer just walls, halls, rooms.

Assistance

• The menu allows you to refund letters if you feel like you are running out of too many of them too early. The game should allow for enough letters in most cases though.
• The menu has hints for various parts where players may get stuck or struggle. These will not exactly tell you what to do, but point you in the right direction.
• Mouse sensitivity and inverted y-axis settings for the free look camera added to the menu

Bug fixes

• The winds room can no longer put the player in an illegal position, which caused the game to stop working
• The unintended short-cuts through the winds room have been properly blocked.
• The display of the “response” after each “battle” has been adjusted so that it should always fit inside the screen
• The line breaks in the “response” are also fixed. Some messages had very strange breaks before.
• Loosing last health at the same time as encountering the health trader now always gives the correct exchange rate
• No longer possible to get rare scenario where you could walk while sacrifice UI is up

Quality of Life

• The trail has been much extended
• The “response” text can now be dismissed with a mouse click
• Dialogues no longer play on-top of each other
• Intro can be skipped
• Menu pauses the game, including playing audio
• The game can be quit and restarted from the menu
